For breeding ornamental leafy plants we can use plants bought from the nursery. If we can get the plants from other sources also it is fine and can be used for breeding. The potting mixture for the ornamental plants must include loose soil, red soil and compost. To have a spectacular view of leafy decorative plants we can plant two to three saplings in a single pot. If the leaves are big enough then one sapling will do. If the plants are by nature adapted to less sunlight then they can easily adapt themselves to indoor atmosphere. Ornamental plants moved from sunlight to indoor must be first kept in half shady region for two weeks only after that the plant inside should be moved inside
Special care must be taken in cases of syngonium and philodendron. Before these special varieties are planted, a PVC pipe of one or two centimeter diameter and four feet long must be taken. On it dried packing moss must be tied with a plastic rope. After that insert this PVC pipe in the middle of the potted mixture the do the planting. If the planted has starting growing then the plant can be tangled to the support.
