When setting new plants in garden, it should be planted first in small pots or small covers and should be kept in a shade till the roots become firm and new leaves sprout. After that the plants can be transferred to a big pot. The mud from the small pot or cover also should be transferred. For plants where roots come slowly the twigs scan be dipped in hormone solution before planting.
Many waste materials from the house hold can be used as good manure for the plants. The waste of tea leaves, egg shell, waste of fish and meat, the water used to clean fish, diluted rice-water, etc. are some waste that we can collect from our kitchen and used as manure. Also from these waste, we can make vermiform compost also. Oil cakes like neem cake have to be kept in water for 4 days and then used for plants. This acts as manure and keeps pests away. The chemical fertilizers got from the market can also be used for plants. This can be put under the plant once in 2 weeks and then water the plants. Dissolve urea in water and spray it on leaves and stem for fast growth.
We can fast recognize the diseases that catch the plants. Spots on leaves, rotting of leaves, etc .if spotted, the plants have to be removed from the pot and burnt immediately. If the disease is detected early, then use anti fungal cythane-45 as 3 gm for 1 liter of water as a remedy. Also neem seeds can be powdered and tied in a cloth and put in 1 liter of water for a day and the solution got from it can be sprayed on the plant infected with worm. For destroying small pests that infect the stem and leaves, grind 20 gm of garlic & 5 gm of asafetida in and mix it with half liter water or diluted rice-water and spray on the plants.
The plants have to be pruned once in a year. Rainy season is best for pruning. Similarly the first flowers of rose and jasmine should be plucked off for more flowers to bloom. These are the main things to be kept in mind in a garden.
