In a plot selected for constructing a house, a line is drawn in the east west and north south directions, which divides the plot into 4 square like sections or vastu khandas. The north east section is called the manushya khanda, the south east section is called the yama khanda, the south west section is called deva khanda and the north west section is called the asura khanda according to vastu shastra.
According to vastu sasthra, the plot selected for constructing a house can be divided to 4 sections or vastu khandas. They are the manushya khanda, yama khanda, asura khanda, & deva khanda.A house constructed in the manushya khanda brings vastu related results like peace of mind, abundance of wealth, good health, prosperity, birth of children etc. without any trouble. Since the yama khanda brigs the presence of death, construction should be totally avoided in it. Asura khanda is not good for human living. Any house constructed in this section may result in vastu doshas like lack of peace of mind, aggressive behaviour, fight in the family etc. Deva khanda is good for residential construction and it brings wealth, peace of mind, attaining high position in job as well as business, integrity among members of the family etc. which are the good results as per the rules of vastu sasthra.
