According to vastu, the vastupurush is lying in a position where the head position is in the ishan cone (Eesana cone) which is the north east direction, the legs in the niryathi corner(niryathi cone), which is the south west direction, the elbows in the vayu corner (vayu cone), which is in the north west direction, and knees in the agni corner (agni cone), which falls in the south east direction.
But this positioning of vastu sayana changes according to the rotation of the earth. In every three months, ie. during the months of September, October and November, the head position of vastupurush is towards east and legs towards west. During the months of December, January, February & March, the head position of vastupurush is in south and legs in north direction. In the months of March April, May & June, the head position of vastupurush is in the western direction, while the legs are in the eastern direction. During the months of June, July, August, September, vastupurush lies with head in the north direction and legs in the southern direction.
The vastupurush is said to be lying in a position with the head tilted to the left with the sight towards the front. So even if the head position of vastupurush is in any direction, the foundation stone of a house should be laid with the guidance of a vastu acharya and the door frame should be fixed at a place, with the help of a person expert in carpentry, at a position where the sight of vastupurush falls. The place where the sight of vastupurush falls is free of all negative elements. So this has to be always kept in mind while fixing door frame.
